Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes content and conduct that are not allowed on ShopNChef. It applies to everyone who uses the Service and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. We may update this AUP as our community and the law evolve.

1. Prohibited content

You may not post, upload, share, or sell content that:

  • is hateful, harassing, or discriminatory, or that promotes violence against people based on protected characteristics;
  • is plagiarized or infringes another person’s copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
  • is a misleading or deceptive listing, including false ingredients, images, or claims;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or harmful to minors, or that depicts unsafe practices presented as safe;
  • contains malware, or is designed to compromise the Service or other users; or
  • includes another person’s private information without consent.

2. Prohibited behavior

You may not:

  • send spam or unsolicited promotional messages;
  • harass, threaten, impersonate, or intimidate other users;
  • post fake reviews or ratings, or manipulate reviews, rankings, or Marketplace results;
  • create multiple or fraudulent accounts, or evade suspensions or bans;
  • circumvent fees, security controls, or usage limits; or
  • scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service except as we expressly permit.

3. Reporting violations

If you see content or behavior that violates this AUP, report it in the app or email support@shopnchef.com. We review reports and take action as appropriate.

4. Enforcement

Depending on the severity and frequency of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions: issue a warning, remove or restrict content, limit features, temporarily suspend an account, withhold Marketplace payouts, or permanently ban an account. Serious violations — such as illegal content or threats to safety — may result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

5. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing support@shopnchef.com within 30 days of the action. Include your account details and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will review timely appeals and respond with our decision.
